Miguel Muniz – Araucária Grampá
Artist: Miguel Muniz
There are many endangered trees on the planet and Brazil, despite the diversity of species, is not exempt from the risk of losing some important specimens for local biodiversity. An alarming scenario that requires action from all of us to try to stop the spread of these catastrophic numbers. But how can we contribute to reversing this present that calls the future into question? I won't give the answer, but we need to think, but not just think! We must act! Despite all the negative data regarding biodiversity, the artistic scene of Brazilian comic artists can only make us proud. A growing number of artists are taking over the world with the art of telling stories through drawings, balloons and colors. And currently Rafael Grampá is representing us, and with a lot of technique, with a lot of style and personality. His representation of the Batman character gains general admiration from lovers of the 9th art. However, if we draw a parallel between these two realities, one negative and the other positive, because while we lose our flora and, for that matter, fauna, on the other hand, our artists are increasingly creative and disseminate Brazilian art to the world. In this way, I produced this reinterpretation of the work of artist Rafael Grampá, with as much detail as I captured and I also received quick feedback from the artist through CCXP CEO Ivan Freitas da Costa. A work that is named after a tree that is at risk of extinction, Araucária, which is part of the ecosystem of the state where the artist was born, and at the same time the name Grampa in honor of his beautiful work. A work with a double intention, to pay homage and raise awareness of the potential contained in our land.
